Video Search Engines

Video is huge business these days and one way people are quickly and easily finding the ones they want is through the use of video search engines?

You probably already know many of the bigger players such as Aol, DailyMotion, Google Videos, Imeem, Myspace TV, Revver, Stage 6, MetaCafe and Veoh. The list goes on and on.

Find Out What People Are Saying

Finding out what people are saying is an important part of delivering the right information in your products, blog posts, forum entries or website content. If you want to have the most recent information about a specific topic then you should consider using tools that let you track online conversations. This way you can locate the biggest questions people are asking and answer them in your content.

talkingGetting the biggest questions and twisting them and presenting them in a compelling, interesting or controversial way is the perfect way to benefit from viral marketing.  Before you can do so you need to find out what people are talking about. There are several tools I like to use which are quite useful for tracking conversations online. One of my favorites is Technorati.  http://technorati.com/allows you to see what’s hot in the blogosphere related to specific keywords or phrases.

We’re Brothers Forever

Ok, I’ve got to admit to a seriously bad habit the past couple of weeks… Here’s a hint, does,” We’re brothers forever, or I am your brother,” ring a bell?

If you haven’t guessed, I’ve been watching American Idol. I know as unbelievable as it sounds, there’s something even more unbelievable then that. It’s the amount of Youtube views one of the recent auditions has gotten. Over 790,000 in about ten days!

Now I usually only watch the beginning of the season due to the spectacular train wreck factor. However, this clip did get me thinking. Do you think this guy’s got a future in the music business?

Marketing With Twitter

Ok, I’ll admit I bit the bullet and signed up with Twitter. After all the fuss I’ve been hearing from Ed Dale about marketing with Twitter, I decided I’d better get with the program and jump on board.

What’s my first take? It’s like a one way instant messenger for everyone to see. I guess the voyeurs out there are going to love this one. As people post everything from, how much they drank the night before to, where they are in the world at that exact moment. Twitter is fast paced and surprisingly simple.

After going through the email sign up dance my first impressions we’re not so great. I saw a great deal of writing in Chinese, Spanish, CAPS SHOUTING, unintelligible comments and a lot of people saying they’re listening to so and so on their Ipod.

Best Web 2.0 Websites

Have you heard the buzz about businesses who are successfully marketing with new Web 2.0 website strategies and wondered, “What are the best Web 2.0 Websites?”

The phrase Web 2.0 itself is an arguably over hyped buzzword, that was first coined in 2004 by O’reilly Media. Summed up it basically means “websites that let users collaborate and share information in a new way.”

These types of sites are nothing new, but they’re gaining online momentum because people in mass are moving away from old interruptive media sources to those that deliver instantaneous social interaction.
