Email marketing is a great way to keep in touch with your customers and to make sure that they don't forget about you. However you have to be very careful not to over market to them. Your emails will quickly become annoying to your customers if you send more than one per month.
Although your customers may have opted in to your mailing list they often forget they have done this and may report your emails as spam despite giving you prior permission to send them marketing emails. It is important at the beginning of your email that you remind them who you are and that they opted in to your list. This avoids any unwanted spam complaints and the possibility of becoming blacklisted
