Increase Website Visitors for Free

Did you know you can increase your website visitors for free, using the latest news trends for highly searched keywords and phrases? Doing so can get you an immediate flood of visitors to your website, but you need to carefully consider your audience first.

Rather than write about what ever you’d like, let’s take a look at ways you can tap in to popular topics in your niche to get people to buy your stuff and click on your ads.

You never want to sit back and hope that what you write will be something of interest to people. Instead, you should try using a little keyword research + on page optimization. The method below provides both content that people are currently searching for, and helps get it in front of the people looking for it.

You’ll be surprised at how easy this concept is, once you see it in action.

Let’s take a second to further explain this concept and I’ll give you a better illustration of why you want to do this. Here’s a post I recently put on my news related blog regarding a recent trend about, “China cheating in the Olympics.”

website post

You’ll note that this is a very controversial post, which always gets a lot of attention. In order to avoid making accusations, I pose the keyword phrase as a question. This is a good tactic to use to get visitor feedback, and pose a question that you don’t necessarily agree with.

First thing you’ll notice in the post itself, is I’m repeating the keyword phrase that I’m using in the title of this post early in the body content of the post.

Doing so helps me rank well in the search engines naturally for that keyword phrase.

You’ll see that I’m also bolding the keyword phrase in the body copy. This puts further emphasis on the keyword phrase in the eyes of the search engines.

Now, you’re probably wondering how I thought to come up with this phrase in the first place… That’s a great question, here’s how.

I use Google Trends to uncover popular search phrases in my niche, “news.”

Note. China is not exactly suited for Las Vegas news. However, this site also provides U.S and world wide news. That said, you should always try to stay focused on your target market.

Once on Google Trends you can enter the primary keyword or phrase that’s relevant to your website. This will give you the recent popularity trends for that word or phrase. (see screenshot below)

As you can see below, the phrase, “China Cheating,” has recently exploded in popularity.

You can also find ideas by scrolling down on the Google Trends home page and clicking on, “More Hot Trends.”

Now, once you know you’ve got a keyword phrase that people are searching for, you can go ahead and create content for that search query.

This can be as easy as:

  • Write a small article about the subject
  • Create a short intro and use PLR
  • Create a short intro and use an article from an article website
  • Pull in RSS feeds about your niche related to the topic
  • Hire a freelance article writer to create your content for you.

Here’s the results of my recent trends campaign the day after I created and posted the content on my news blog. You can see I’m right on top of Google for a very popular search trend.

Due to the way my post is titled it also gets traffic from related search queries to get even more visitor traffic. The title of my post is definitely helping to propel me to the top.

This combination of using popular searches combined with proper SEO can really boost your website exposure. Remember if you’re using a blog, to properly set up your Ping list and Permalink structure for best results.

Don’t forget to also build some incoming links to your web pages using off-site optimization. This can be as simple as doing forum or blog posting and linking to back to your website. Make sure to use your keyword anchor text in all links.

Social bookmarking, directory submission and article marketing are other useful ways you can build valuable backlinks for your site.

In the next post I’ll describe another surprisingly easy way I get google placement top website positioning for free.
